MF Ceiling System
MF Ceiling System or Metal Furring Ceiling is a suspended metal frame ceiling system, which allows for the direct fix of plasterboard sheets to create a smooth finish. A Metal Furring System allows for services, acoustic or thermal insulation and utilities to be installed within the resulting void or can also be used to hide existing services. The MF system is often a cheaper solution to traditional timber framing and can be much quicker to install. Typically, for best results an acoustic layer is installed above the MF system to help with sound insulation from the cavity created.
